Symbolically, even here Ukraine found itself between America and Russia. It turns out that in our country, mileage on cars is rolled back more often than in the USA, but less often than in the Russian Federation. Despite stereotypes, Germany is located in the middle of this ranking – here the risk of buying a car with a rolled-back odometer is much higher than in Belarus or the Czech Republic.

In which countries are buyers at the greatest risk of purchasing a car with rolled-back mileage? The Baltic States, which is logical, are often “pulling” used cars from Lithuania and Latvia, where they, in turn, often come from Germany.
The study was published by the company carVertical, conducting it based on almost 900,000 car history reports for 2021.
First place – Latvia. More than 24% of cars in this country. Potentially, every fourth used car buyer in Latvia acquires a car with false mileage.

The second place in the number of mileage fraud cases went to Romania — where every fifth used car, checked on carVertical, revealed mileage discrepancies.
Third place – Estonia. Fourth – Russia. And closing the TOP-5 is Ukraine, followed, surprisingly, by the States. The lowest frequency of mileage rollback is in Belgium, Finland, and Serbia.
