by In Kyiv, the official world premiere of the Torsus Terrastorm took place. The off-road bus was presented at the Kyiv Armored Plant.
Torsus Terrastorm is an extreme version of the Volkswagen Crafter. The minibus’s ground clearance has been increased to 290 mm, with added plastic cladding, underbody protection, bars, and even a winch. It is also equipped with 17-inch BF Goodrich off-road tires.
The Terrastorm is available as an off-road minibus with 9 to 20 seats, as well as in cargo and ambulance versions. Prices start at 57,460 euros.
By the way, the passenger version features swivel seats with five-point safety belts.
The Torsus Terrastorm is equipped with a 2.0-liter 177 horsepower turbo diesel engine and is available with a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive and hill descent assist are mandatory features.
Suspension work was handled by specialists involved in preparing cars for the Dakar Rally. The Terrastorm can ford water obstacles up to 82 cm deep.
