Ukrainians Donate Their Cars to Those in Need of Evacuation

A Kyiv resident, who wished to remain anonymous, found an original way to help fellow countrymen evacuate at the beginning of the war. He simply left cars with keys in the ignition at parking lots in Kyiv. We quote the story of one of the evacuees:

“I came out of the bomb shelter and saw a car with keys in the ignition near the store. I watched it for two hours, waiting for the owner – he never came. I took my family, got in the car, and drove to Vinnytsia to my relatives. In the glove compartment, I found a phone number and called the owner:

It turned out that this case is not unique, and in the comments, people admit that many of their relatives and acquaintances did the same. That is, for many, saving a life is more important than a car (especially one standing in a garage).
