In Zaporizhzhia, a very unusual BMW coupe is registered. The 30s-style car is homemade – it was created over 8 years by master Sergiy Nazarenko, reports TV5.
The unusual car was named BMW Phantom. In its appearance, traits of pre-war Bugatti and Ford V8 can be recognized, though the design is original and very unusual. The coupe is based on a 1938 BMW 340 chassis, although most parts are either homemade or from modern cars.
The interior combines leather and wood, and even has a rearview camera.

Under the hood is a 2.8-liter BMW inline-six with 215 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The hot rod easily accelerates to 160 km/h, but its creator didn’t dare drive it faster.
Now the BMW coupe is a frequent guest at various Zaporizhzhia car shows and retro gatherings. Sergiy Nazarenko does not often use his creation, although he even tried to drive it to the sea.
