Volodymyr Tsybulskyi from Mykolaiv created a very bright sports car. The car immediately attracts attention, and it’s not easy to recognize the old Porsche 924 coupe from 1979 in it.
Volodymyr told us that he decided to buy a Porsche at the end of 2013. At that time, he already had a ready 3-D model of the future car.
He had to work hard on the car, as it barely drove and had to be transported on a tow truck.
Moreover, the condition of the interior was sad, and the two-liter engine somehow worked with a carburetor from VAZ-2108. So, external tuning alone was not enough – the car had to be completely redone.
Under the hood, there’s an Opel Omega engine with a volume of 2.0 liters (although Volodymyr would have preferred a more powerful engine), and a 5-speed manual gearbox was installed. A/C, power steering, 18-inch wheels, and more modern brakes with ABS were added.
After the modifications, the Porsche 924 grew to 4510 mm in length and 1800 mm in width.
The body is made of fiberglass, just like the dashboard in the cabin.
The headlight lenses were borrowed from a Mercedes GL, while the turn signals, stop lights, and tail lights are LED. The air vent deflectors were taken from a Mercedes W123. All the parts are carefully crafted and well-fitted, making the Porsche 924 look very impressive.
