Famous Ukrainian racer and volunteer Serhiy Malik has once again distinguished himself on the dried saline lake of Bonneville. During the “Speed Week,” he set a world record in the electric motorcycle category.
On the salt flats, Serhiy Malik showed an average speed of 167.3 km/h (103.995 mph) based on the results of two control runs. The Ukrainian performed on a self-designed electric bike, based on the Dnipro motorcycle. The maximum recorded speed was 167.9 km/h.
It should be recalled that this is not Serhiy Malik’s first achievement in Bonneville. Last year, he broke the speed record on a gasoline Dnipro in the vintage motorcycles category M-PBG 650, reaching 116.86 km/h. By the way, the previous record in this class had held for a full 10 years.
