Ukrainian Restored a Rare British Coupe en

In Dnipro, a rare 1969 Wolseley Hornet Mark 2 was restored from a pile of scrap metal. This is perhaps the only such car in our country.

As restorer Viktor Bonyak said, the work on the Wolseley Hornet lasted a whole six years. Judging by the photos, the car was in a rather deplorable state but was cheap – for 800 dollars.

Wolseley Hornet is a coupe based on the very first Mini, positioned as a more expensive and better-equipped version. It was assembled in 1961-69. While more than 5 million Minis were produced, only 28.5 thousand Hornets were made.

The car is equipped with a 1-liter 38-horsepower engine and a 4-speed manual transmission.

Its maximum speed is 128 km/h.
