In Ivano-Frankivsk, a very impressive passenger truck was made in the style of the American Chevrolet El Camino. The Chevrolet Ute, (from ‘Coupé utility’), is considered the progenitor of an unusual class of vehicles that are 2-door passenger pickups.

Their popularity peaked from the 60s to the 80s of the last century, although in Australia this type of body is still trending. Just think of the Australian charged Holdens, which are akin to the Shelby Mustang in the USA…

In this case, we have a Ukrainian version of El Camino, made from the familiar Volga 24. In fact, the idea is not new, but in our country, it’s quite unusual, and the outcome of these efforts can rightfully be called very worthy. In this form, the GAZ-24 “played” in completely different colors, and all this is the work of the Chykalo Customs workshop in Ivano-Frankivsk, founded by Sergiy Chykalo.
By the way, if we abstract from automobile history, it is worth mentioning that El Camino is a neo-western crime film, which is a continuation of the TV series ‘Breaking Bad’.
