Ukrainian made a reduced copy of a rare Bugatti (photo)

The single-seater car is made in the likeness and image of Bugatti Type 35 cars from the 1920s-1930s. Unlike the original, it cannot reach 200 km per hour and cannot accelerate to the first hundred in 6 seconds, which, by the way, made the Bugatti 35 one of the fastest cars of the first half of the 20th century.

Moreover, the cabin accommodates only one driver. And even then, not the tallest one. All because it’s a so-called Cyclekart. What does it mean? Yes, in our country this term is familiar to only a few, although in Britain, America, etc., this type of car is quite popular.

This is a type of kart racing where participants race in single-seater cars reminiscent of racing cars from the 1920s and 1930s. A Cyclekart is a compact lightweight sports car that is essentially a big (but not toy) car for pleasure and “childlike” excitement. Childlike in quotation marks because such cars are intended for adults. Abroad, there are even entire championships of racing on such single-seater cars.

Cyclekarts are often made from ready-made kits or handmade, which are produced industrially like a constructor. According to the creator of the mini-Bugatti, this little car is one of the first in Ukraine and is his inspirational vehicle.

As the designer of the unusual cyclekart, Volodymyr Vasilashchuk from Sumy, writes, this small car can accelerate up to 60 kilometers per hour. Weight – 140 kg, engine – 200 cm3 (petrol+variator). How much do such cars for big boys cost? Prices vary greatly, it all depends on the complexity of the specific project and, of course, the technical equipment.

P.S. By the way, this is one of the cyclekarts made by a Ukrainian. The rest have been sold. And as Topgir found out, the vast majority of his creations are bought by foreigners, not compatriots. Here’s a replica of a Bugatti Type 46, for example.
