A physical education teacher from the Kyiv region, Ivan Kozhushko, built a replica of the famous Shelby Cobra with his own hands. He worked on the roadster in the evenings after work.
The car’s body is made of fiberglass and mounted on a frame. The resemblance to the original is not one hundred percent, but the Cobra is still recognizable.
The roadster’s construction uses parts from various cars. In particular, the engine was taken from a Volga GAZ-24 but was bored to 3 liters and increased power to 120-130 hp. For a lightweight car weighing 900 kg, this is enough.
The exhaust was taken from a Priora, seats from a RAF, and rearview mirrors from an Izh motorcycle. The roll bars were made from pipes. Overall, the result is original. More details about the car are in the report from JeeDAI.
