The inventor explains the benefit of his invention by the fact that the size and shape of license plates in each country are strictly regulated, and on many modern vehicle brands, such as Alfa Romeo, Mitsubishi, Bugatti, traditional license plates cannot be mounted in the center of the vehicle and almost always do not fit into the overall design of the vehicle.
The device consists of a control unit connected to the vehicle’s power unit, an input information block, and an information output device — a projector that is mounted in the car body.
The system for reflecting the light sign on the vehicle consists of a control unit with memory and special software for controlling the light sign image, which, via a wired line, is connected to the vehicle’s power unit, an input information block where data on the vehicle’s license plate is stored, and a control unit and an information output device.
A phone or (on-board) computer can be used as the control unit. The memory can be implemented in the form of magnetic storage, electrically programmable read-only memory (EEPROM), or other non-volatile storage.
The specific location of the projector installation depends on the intended location of the light license plate on the vehicle body.
For example, in a “sedan” model car, the projector is mounted in the roof of the body to display the license plate on the windshield, and the angle of the projector lens is set so that the light image of the license plate is displayed at the top of the front and rear glass of the vehicle body.
A focus film 7, which can be made, for example, from polyethylene terephthalate, can be glued to the location for displaying the license plate. Its presence enhances the image clarity if necessary.
