We have written many times about the Ukrainian all-terrain vehicle Sherp. The project is not standing still and is evolving. Now, it has been transformed into a whole off-road train. Sherp is often used by special services or companies operating in hard-to-reach places or in the area of a natural disaster. The all-terrain vehicle is good but not very roomy, so it is not possible to bring a team of people or equipment on it.
That’s why the Ark train was developed, designed for 20 passengers or 3.4 tons of cargo. The trailer can be used for transporting goods, as a medical module, and as an off-road shuttle bus.
Moreover, the all-terrain vehicle’s passability has not suffered much from the appearance of the trailer. The Ark overcomes 30-degree slopes, ditches 2 m wide, and obstacles 1.5 m high. There is also a tire inflation system.
The 2.4-liter diesel engine delivers 74 hp and 280 N·m. The train reaches 30 km/h on land and 6 km/h on water. Yes, the new Sherp the Ark even swims. The fuel reserve is enough for 2000 km of travel. In general, there are practically no analogs to this all-terrain vehicle in the world.
