Ukrainian craftsmen have begun to produce compact multiple launch rocket systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine with their own hands. They are installed on pickups like the Mitsubishi L200, which volunteers bring from abroad, reports Mil.in.ua.
Homemade MLRS are created based on aviation unguided rockets S-8 caliber 80 mm of the “air-to-ground” class. They can have either an armor-piercing or a high-explosive warhead.

S-8 rockets are installed in blocks of 12 pieces. The launcher is mounted in the bed of the pickup and is supplemented with a stabilizer. It weighs 150 kg when empty, and 450 kg when loaded with rockets.
S-8 are not very precise rockets, so their aiming range is about 2 km. At the maximum distance, the dispersion is 6 meters. However, the MLRS installed on a pickup allows you to move closer, fire off, and quickly change position.
