While some are counting kilowatts in their electric cars, others are measuring life in millions of hryvnias. The demand for expensive cars in Ukraine literally exploded in 2025: as many elite cars were imported as in the previous three years combined.
According to the State Customs Service, 11,998 cars worth over 2.5 million hryvnias each were imported into Ukraine in 2025. And these are only the ones officially declared.
Of these:
8,498 cars cost from 2.5 to 4 million hryvnias (approximately $60,000 – 96,000);
2,818 cars — from 4 to 6 million hryvnias ($96,000 – 144,000);
534 — from 6 to 8 million ($144,000 – 192,000);
and another 148 — over 8 million hryvnias ($192,000+).
That is, almost one and a half hundred cars of the Rolls-Royce Spectre level arrived in Ukraine in a year, which means that even at gas stations you can now meet not only a Tesla, but also someone in a white suit with an RR logo on the keys.
For comparison: over the previous three years (2022–2024), Ukrainians imported 12,090 luxury cars — that is, almost as many as in 2025 alone.
During this period, the following were imported:
7,999 cars worth from $70,000 to $100,000,
3,872 — from $100,000 to $200,000,
219 — over $200,000.
The pace is impressive. If 2,300 expensive cars were imported in 2022, then in 2023 it was already 4,852, in 2024 — 4,938. And then 2025 — explosive: +11,998.
Experts joke that this year can officially be called the year of “mass awakening of wallets.” And if electric Rolls-Royces are already confidently driving on Ukrainian roads, then the appearance of a Ferrari Elettrica on the Obolonska Embankment is only a matter of time.
