Ukrainians Created Mini-Bayraktars and Stealth Drones (video) en

Their cost is incomparably lower than all existing (and non-existing) analogs, but at the same time, they have shown high efficiency during real combat operations. By the way, as developers say, they waited quite a long time to get the possibility (and right) to say at least something about their inventions.

As TopGeek managed to find out, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, these people were sailing the seas and oceans under sails and enjoying the sea and wind. But the war forced them to shift from business to charity by creating unique aerial weapons at their own expense. This is how the charity fund “Territory of Life” was born, which appeared after 2014 but transformed in 2022. It consists of people of different worldviews and professions, but most of them are skippers and captains.

“We have trained almost 1,000 skippers, had our own fleet on the Dnipro and a training yacht in Turkey. We gathered flotillas of 30 boats… this year we were planning to prepare for a round-the-world trip. But it’s okay, there’s still time. What we are doing now is necessary for victory!”, says the head of the Marinero yacht captain school, Pavlo Nepsha, who is also the founder of the charity fund “Territory of Life”.

So, what have yachtsmen, who seem far from weapons and UAVs, managed to create? Of course, apart from the desire and thirst for victory, specialists in engineering and designing unmanned aerial vehicles were needed. Fortunately, there are such specialists in Ukraine, and they are dedicated to their work, especially when it comes to helping the army.

Since all the intricacies cannot be disclosed, let’s focus on the key features of Ukrainian inventions.

Mini-Bayraktar

  • All parts (including the tail of the shell) are 3D printed;
  • Can be equipped with explosive, fragmentation, and cumulative shells;
  • Compact size and low speed make them almost invisible to the enemy;
  • Perform two functions simultaneously – aerial reconnaissance and combat force destruction;
  • Capable of hitting various targets – from enemy personnel to armored vehicles.

Stealth Drone:

  • Compact size combined with long flight range
  • Remains invisible to the enemy due to a unique mechanism for bypassing the enemy’s electronic warfare system;
  • The device is developed in Ukraine and has already attracted foreign investors;
  • Suitable for use in secret missions in densely built-up villages and cities
  • Low cost and lack of competitors in price/characteristics
Note that besides UAVs, over the past 130-plus days, the “Territory of Life” charity organization, together with students and graduates of the Marinero yachting school (and thanks to donations), has provided more than 200 systems for drone “gift” delivery to orcs and purchased more than 45 pickups and about 20 minibusses, jeeps, and other vehicles.
