JSC “Ukrposhta” has started the sale of old cars, including business-class models of world brands and cars from the Soviet auto industry. As reported on the company’s website, these are more than 1600 cars unfit for work that have not been used by the company for over 10 years.

TopZhyr studied the lots in detail and found out if there is anything really interesting and worthwhile. Note that almost all cars are sold literally in groups (dozens or even hundreds). For example, you can buy one and a half hundred cars (almost all in poor condition) for 900 thousand hryvnias, there are 30-50 pieces for 200-300 thousand hryvnias (total amount for all lots – 10.9 million UAH). The oldest car is a “ZIL-MMZ 555” released in 1968.
The majority being sold are old ZILs, VAZs, and ZAZs, but there are even some foreign brands “lost” in the general pile of postal vehicles. Among them are a Nissan Maxima and even a Mercedes…

As for rare cars, Citroën C15 vans, produced by the French from 1984 to 2005, can theoretically be included. It turns out that dozens (if not hundreds) of such vehicles were in service at “Ukrposhta”.

It is also necessary to mention the Mazda E2200, among which there are all-wheel-drive “minivans.” By the way, if you browse through the photos on ProZorro, you can even see quite live specimens.

Moreover, among the lots, there are Polish Żuk minibusses, a postal KAMAZ, and Ukrainian Tavrias with superstructures and pickups with awnings. The latter can almost be considered collectible, as although a relatively large number were produced, not all have “survived” to this day.
