In California, the rarest Porsche Tempo Mikafa motorhome from 1955 was sold at auction. It fetched a substantial $187,000. 
The Porsche motorhome is truly unique. Mikafa produced only three of these vehicles, and they were advanced for their time. 
The motorhome is based on the rear-engine chassis of a Porsche 356 sports car.
The vehicle has a boxer engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The body is made of aluminum, and the windows are plexiglass. 
By the standards of the 1950s, the Porsche Tempo Mikafa was equipped with the latest technology. For example, the interior has an Electrolux refrigerator, which was a luxury at the time. 
There is also a kitchen with a gas stove, sofas, a folding table, and even a bathroom.
All of this is well-preserved, and there is even a set of branded tableware.
