Unique Baltika Car in the Time Machine Museum in Dnipro (photo)

The Ukrainian Baltika model exists in a single copy, and it was created by a leading engineer at the Shakhtnaya Automation plant. It is a homemade car, which is precisely what makes it unique.

Created 40 years ago, the homemade car by Dnipro resident Vitalii Vasyuchenko is an exhibit of the Time Machine technical museum. The photo shows its handover to the museum. The engineer’s wife and son decided to donate it to the museum.

The Baltika homemade car was created over about 5 years. According to the inventor’s wife, it all started with buying a rusted old “Volga” GAZ-21 frame at a taxi park. The restored frame and engine were transferred to the future homemade car. And… that’s all. The rest was created by the inventor’s own hands.

The sons Yuriy and Arkadii helped their father as much as they could. As their mother recalls, the sons sometimes lamented about their “stolen childhood,” but in reality, they were seriously infected with the dream of making a family car unlike any other.

Pay attention to the emblem. Almost Rolls-Royce…
