In Minsk, an original homemade car was found in an old garage. It is based on a Jawa 250 motorcycle with a sidecar.
The Jawa 250 car was created by Belarusian Alexander Dlotovsky, back in the ’50s. According to Onliner, at one time the car even won a prize at VDNH.
A body was mounted on the motorcycle, with the only door lifting upwards.
A luggage rack is installed on the roof. Seats with backrests appeared in the cabin, but the Jawa 250 motorcycle handlebars and instruments remain. A fan and ashtray are provided.
Interestingly, the homemade car lacks an electric starter. Of course, it’s hard for us to imagine how it was started without acrobatic tricks.
The car was actively used. It attended various car festivals and gatherings of folk craftsmen and even reached Crimea. Currently, the Jawa is not running, but it is promised to be restored.
