In Canada, a very unusual Niva pickup is up for sale. Surprisingly, this vehicle was produced overseas.
Few know that Nivas were assembled at the Lada Canada facility. In addition to the standard three-door VAZ-2121, they also made convertibles and these pickups. Moreover, only a few hundred of the latter were produced between 1990 and 1992.
The Niva pickup received a small body and taillights from the Chevrolet Astro Van. The Canadian car has an improved interior finish and is equipped with alloy wheels and a sunroof.
From a technical standpoint – no innovations.
The vehicle is equipped with a 1.6-liter 72-horsepower engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. The Niva is not running and is therefore priced at just over $1000.
