The SSC Tuatara hypercar has set a new world speed record again. The American coupe broke its own achievement and reached 474.8 km/h on the runway at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Recall that the 1750-horsepower SSC Tuatara has been officially the fastest car in the world since January 2021. At that time, the hypercar reached 455.3 km/h, and this was recorded by the Guinness World Records experts.

The attempt to break the world speed record was not without adventure. Initially, at the end of 2020, the SSC Tuatara even reached 532 km/h, but due to inaccuracies in speed measurements, this achievement was not counted.
Americans still want to reach 500 km/h, but they are doing it gradually. And for reliability, they measure speed using three different methods. So we are waiting for a new attempt.
