One of the latest creations of the British is an electric Bentley S2 Continental Flying Spur from 1961. The budget for building such an ‘electric car’ is estimated at 360,000 pounds sterling.
At first glance, the sum is quite substantial, but on the other hand, you get a retro car with modern innards, which, by the way, allows you to travel up to 400 km on a single charge (and accelerate to the first hundred in 5 seconds!) and, of course, protects the environment. Also, you have to consider that the car is practically built “from scratch,” going through complete restoration “piece by piece.”
In addition to a new power unit, the rarity received improved suspension and brakes, as well as power steering, air conditioning, and multimedia with navigation. The British have already announced the opening of orders for similar conversions of classic Bentley Continental in 2- and 4-door bodies.
