In the German town of Aurich, there is an entire abandoned VAZ dealership. The cars have been standing outdoors for 20 years, and most of them have not driven even a kilometer.
The company Zetor service, which was selling Ladas and agricultural machinery, closed down 20 years ago. Although they managed to sell all the tractors, the VAZ-2109s were not needed in Germany and are slowly decaying. There are about a dozen cars in total, three of which are outdoors.
By the way, the VAZ-2109s are not ordinary, as improved versions were exported. For example, the Finnish-assembled Lada Baltic or the Lada Samara Topas with a body kit, sunroof, and sports steering wheel.
However, even such Ladas didn’t particularly interest the Germans.
