A car dealer from Munich, MOHR Group, has put up for sale two rare restomods based on the Porsche 911 model of the 964 generation (1989–1993).

The first restomod is called 911 RST Backdate and is built by the workshop Rosenberger Classics. The second car, Mega 30, is the creation of Strosek. Both cars have near-zero mileage and are priced like a good supercar: 399,900 and 300,000 euros, respectively.

The basis of the Porsche 911 RST Backdate is a sports car from 1989. At Rosenberger Classics, the car was initially completely disassembled, rust was removed from the body, cleaned with dry ice, and only then turned into a dream for any fan of the Porsche brand. The main thing about it is, of course, the power unit. It houses the native 3.6 flat-six, but equipped with 2 turbochargers. The engine’s output is 677 horsepower, although a more gentle mode is also provided, in which there will be about 500 ‘horses’.

In addition, the restomod 911 RST Backdate is equipped with a 6-speed ‘mechanic’, brakes, and an all-wheel-drive transmission with a mechanical differential at the rear and a viscous coupling at the center from the Turbo modification of the Porsche 993. Part of the car’s body elements are reproduced from carbon fiber. Also, this particular 911 RST Backdate features Recaro Pole Position seats, a homologated FIA safety cage, and a steering wheel from Momo.

The second restomod is not as brutal but no less original and rare. The coupe Strosek Mega 30 will be released in a limited run of 30 units, and judging by the pictures, MOHR Group is selling the first, demonstration model, which was showcased in the fall of 2021. This 964 model has a new body kit with bumpers and side skirts, a retractable spoiler, and wheels in the style of Fuchs. The 3.6 engine is equipped with new camshafts, a lightened flywheel, a different clutch, and a control unit, with a performance of 300 hp.
