British company Compare The Market dedicated its research to this very topic. The experts decided to determine which countries have the cheapest cars and which have the most expensive ones. They selected six models from different classes for comparison.
The results turned out to be very interesting because sometimes the difference can be two to three times. For example, the miniature Fiat 500 is cheapest in India (from 7,049 pounds or $9,000), while it is most expensive in China (21,537 pounds or $27,500). 
In India, the Volkswagen Golf is also significantly cheaper – from 7,208 pounds ($9,200). However, in Portugal, it is three times more expensive – from 24,254 pounds ($31,000). In general, cars are not cheap everywhere in Europe.
The Volkswagen Passat is best purchased in Greece (16,830 pounds or $21,500), but its price is unfavorable in Brazil – 36,445 pounds ($46,500). The Volkswagen Tiguan crossover is cheapest in Russia (17,182 pounds or $22,000), while it is most expensive in Portugal (32,633 pounds or $41,600).

Premium cars like the BMW 5 Series are advantageous to buy in Mexico (33,221 pounds or $42,500), while in Brazil, the BMW 5 Series is twice as expensive – from 68,626 pounds ($87,600). Finally, the Porsche 911 sports car costs from 63,059 pounds ($80,500) in Canada, while in India it is almost three times more expensive – 164,768 pounds ($210,400).
