A Rare BMW with Ukrainian Plates to be Auctioned in Canada

A rare Alpina B12 5.7 LWB 1998 has been put up for auction at RM Sotheby’s in Canada. Surprisingly, the high-powered BMW sedan was brought from Ukraine.

The history of the BMW Alpina is quite interesting. Initially, the car was bought in Japan, and in 2004 it moved to Ukraine and was registered in the Chernivtsi region. Then its owner went to Canada and took the car with him.

The Alpina B12 5.7 is based on the BMW 7 E38. Under its hood is a 5.7-liter V12 M73 with 387 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 6.4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 280 km/h.

Only 202 Alpina B12 5.7 were produced, of which only 59 were in the extended LWB version. The declared mileage of the car is only 85,000 km.
