by Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Lamborghini, and other renowned brands reported record sales figures in 2021. Despite the pandemic and economic ‘swings’ in the world, manufacturers of the most expensive cars in the world have reached a new historic (!) record!
Moreover, even the shortage of microchips did not prevent renowned brands from achieving the best performance ever! By the way, this concerns not only global sales but also the unprecedented growth in the number of luxury cars in Ukraine. As TopGir already wrote, 2021 claims record supercar sales figures in the entire history of our country’s independence. Let’s move on to the numbers.
- Bentley. The British brand sold 14,659 vehicles – 31% more than in 2020. Almost 15,000 new cars is the best result in Bentley’s history. By the way, last year Ukrainians bought almost 60 Bentley cars, the most popular model being the Bentayga crossover.
- Porsche. According to the company’s annual report, the German brand sold 301,915 new vehicles in 2021, with sales growth observed worldwide and being the highest. In Ukraine, the most popular model was the Cayenne, while globally the bestseller was the Macan, but the electric Taycan also became the breakthrough of the year.
- Lamborghini. The Italian sports and supercar manufacturer achieved sales of 8,405 vehicles (+13% compared to 2020), breaking all records. Both in Ukraine and globally, the absolute winner was the Lamborghini Urus crossover. According to TopGir, let us remind you, Ukraine saw 18 new Lamborghinis in 2021.
- Mercedes-Benz. This brand had a very successful 2021. Besides the new S-Class and Maybach, the old reliable G-Wagon showed unprecedented growth. After the first total update in many decades, this rugged SUV set an absolute sales record in its 42-year history – 41,174 vehicles. And now attention – only in Ukraine, there were two (!) hundred more G-Wagons last year, with most of the new ones being the charged G 63 AMG (one and a half hundred units).
- Rolls-Royce. The brand of kings and sheikhs also reported record-breaking figures, achieved with the help of the most expensive production SUV. Nearly 6,000 Rolls-Royces were sold in 2021, more than half of which are crossovers. In Ukraine, Rolls-Royce sales amounted to 22 units (8 of which are SUVs).
