Photos of an entire abandoned collection of Ferraris have been published online. As many as nine cars stood for years under the open sky.
According to Silodrome, the Ferrari supercars ended up in a scrapyard due to negligence. They all belonged to one American lawyer. Initially, he collected Chevrolet Corvettes and then switched to European cars – Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Porsche, Lotus, Lamborghini.
Gradually, his collection comprised 13 Ferraris from the 80s and 90s. Among them are Ferrari Testarossa, Mondial, 308, 328, 348, 400, and 355 supercars.
In 2011, the lawyer became seriously ill and decided to rent a large warehouse for his cars. Eleven Ferraris and a couple of Rolls-Royces were sent there.
As the collector’s condition worsened, he was unable to pay the rent on time.
The warehouse owners could think of nothing better than to move all the cars to a field. Even when the collector eventually paid the rent, the cars didn’t return.
In this state, the cars stood for several years. Their owner passed away, and his heirs took over the matter. They were able to retrieve them through court, although by that time two Ferraris and both Rolls-Royces had disappeared.
The remaining cars have now been sold to a classic car dealer. They will be restored and found new owners.
