by The director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, whom few have heard of and even fewer recognize by sight, is the subject. Nevertheless, the head of the state Institute, Oleksandr Ruvin, has a relatively modest motorcade with beautiful but ‘fake’ license plates.
It is worth noting that Ruvin is considered the only explosives expert in Ukraine with international certification. Therefore, all high-profile investigations in Ukraine fall under his competence. Not surprisingly, considering his activities, there have been assassination attempts on him, and in 2016, as a result of such an attempt, he received three gunshots to the legs right near his home.
Journalists from BIHUS info conducted their own investigation and found out what such a complex (with dozens of awards, by the way, and the rank of major general) yet very secretive person drives. He moves with a convoy of a Toyota Land Cruiser and a VW Transporter with the license plates ‘0123’, which, in fact, are not quite official numbers but ‘cover numbers’. Whether the Land Cruiser is armored or not, we won’t assert, although we suspect it is.
Also worth noting are the very wealthy and/or influential friends of the head of the Institute who came to his birthday…
