A 31-year-old Honda with 17 km mileage is up for sale online

An advertisement for an interesting ‘time capsule’ has appeared on the British website Car and Classics. It is about a brand new 1990 Honda CRX. The car is located in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

In 31 years, the silver coupe has driven only 17 km. Moreover, this entire distance was covered on the first day after purchase. The car was taken from the showroom and then parked in a garage, from which it has never left.

However, the Honda was stored properly. The coupe was placed on special stands, with its fuel and brake fluid drained, battery removed, and tires deflated. Meanwhile, the seller notes that the car is still covered with factory wax, and the engine contains its original oil.

As a result, today this CRX looks like it just rolled out of the factory.

The unique Honda’s price is not disclosed – the seller has put it up for public discussion. But if we consider that good examples of the second-generation Honda CRX (the generation this article’s hero belongs to) are sold in Europe for about 15-17 thousand dollars, this car might go to a new owner for approximately 23-27 thousand.

Under the hood is a 1.6-liter engine, D16A9, with 129 hp, working in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission. The package includes disc brakes all around, air conditioning, electric windows, and electric mirrors.
