American analytical firm J. D. Power published a fresh reliability ranking. This time, Americans researched the reliability of three-year-old cars by brands and models. It should be noted that these are cars available for purchase in the USA. However, considering the popularity of ‘bitoks’ in Ukraine, we are confident this ranking will be useful to many Ukrainians.
The reliability ranking of cars is based on a survey of 30,000 car owners. As per tradition, the key indicator of unreliability is the number of problems that occurred per 100 vehicles (PP100). The lower it is, the more reliable the car.
Speaking about the ‘hospital temperature as a whole’, researchers have found that premium and luxury models cause more problems than ‘people’s’ models. For the former, the average reliability index (as of 2022) is 190, whereas for expensive cars it is 204. This is explained by the abundance of electronics and new technologies that may fail or break down.
