An abandoned garage revealed a very interesting car – a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette C4. Of course, the car is quite rare, but its documents are much more surprising – they are of the Soviet standard.
Certainly, “capitalist” sports cars were almost impossible to find in the USSR. However, Brezhnev had a Porsche 911 Targa and even a Ferrari Daytona in his garage, while Khrushchev was gifted the legendary Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing.
But in this case, we are not talking about a car belonging to a general secretary or an underground millionaire.
The documents were issued in December 1993, but they are still in the Soviet format – simply because new technical passport forms had not yet appeared by that time. It is known that the owner of the Corvette, V. Shidlovsky, also had a 1991 Pontiac registered to him.
The Chevrolet Corvette is partially disassembled and requires repair. The American sports car is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine producing 230 hp.
