The Eastern European premiere of the Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 took place in Kyiv. The fourth-generation Hyundai crossover was presented at the National Opera of Ukraine.
The new Hyundai Santa Fe attracts attention primarily due to the design of the front part in the style of the junior Hyundai Kona. It has two-level optics and a wide grille. The car has grown to 4770 mm in length and 1890 mm in width with a wheelbase of 2765 mm.
The increased dimensions allowed making the Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 seven-seater. By the way, the Grand Santa Fe has not been abandoned, although it will be renamed to Santa Fe XL. The second row seats have received horizontal adjustment.
In more expensive versions, a virtual instrument panel is provided. The list of options was supplemented with a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, preventive braking systems, and lane control.
In addition, there are two original new technologies. Safety Exit Assist locks the rear doors and prevents exiting the cabin when it detects a car behind. Additionally, there is a rear-seat occupant reminder technology.
The Hyundai Santa Fe will be available with a 2.4-liter 188-horsepower gasoline four-cylinder and a 2.2-liter 200-horsepower turbo diesel. Interestingly, the diesel version is offered with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the gasoline variant can have only a 6-speed automatic. Modifications with front and all-wheel drive are available.
In Ukraine, the Hyundai Santa Fe can be purchased starting at $37,700. The top version will cost $56,400.
