In Kharkiv, a GAZ-21 Volga with an automatic transmission is up for sale. Moreover, it is the rare version with the original automatic transmission. It’s not surprising that the car is priced at a whopping $53,000.
In general, a Volga with an automatic transmission is a real rarity, as only about 500 of these cars were produced. Then production was stopped due to the unreliability of the automatic transmission design and the impossibility of normal repair under garage conditions.
The seller claims that this is almost the only such car in the world that has been preserved in authentic condition. The car is 100% original, with even the floor mats and the original automatic transmission manual preserved.
The mileage of the 1960 Volga is only 70,000 km. The car was stored in preservation for a long time, which is why it is so well-preserved. By the way, the Volga with an automatic transmission was also equipped for the KGB with a 195-horsepower V8 from the Chaika.
One such car is also for sale in Ukraine.
