The limited coupe Dodge Challenger Demon was created specifically for drag racing. If desired, this beast can even be ordered in a single-seater version.
Among the features of the Dodge Challenger Demon are enhanced engine and transmission cooling with the help of air conditioning, wide tires 315/40R18, and the TransBrake system, allowing for higher RPM launches.
In addition, the muscle car Dodge is lightened by 90 kg. Part of the interior trimming and sound insulation, as well as several speakers of the audio system and rear seats, were removed from the cabin. However, for a symbolic 1 dollar, they can be returned.
The power of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 Hemi has increased to 840 hp and is achieved on racing 100-octane fuel. On regular gasoline, it’s “only” 808 hp. By the way, the full power mode is activated with a special key (just like on a Bugatti), while for everyday driving, 500 hp are available.
So, the Dodge Challenger Demon is the most powerful American car of our days, apart from the expensive exotic like the Hennessey Venom. Its performance is even better than that of the Bugatti Chiron. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 2.3 seconds, and the quarter-mile sprint (402 m) is achieved in 9.65 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 km/h.
Only 3,000 Dodge Challenger Demons have been produced. Considering the car’s characteristics, the price of the Dodge is quite reasonable – 86 thousand dollars.
