In Ivano-Frankivsk, a UAZ-450 from 1965 is put up for sale. It would seem, in the ’60s, this was quite a mass model, but now buying an early-series UAZ Buhanka in decent condition is almost impossible. That’s why the price is considerable — $7500.
Apparently, this UAZ-450 was once a military ambulance. This is indicated by its khaki color and the characteristic roof lamp typical for medical versions. The early-series UAZ Buhanka is recognized by its different front design.
The car is being sold for restoration and its condition is not the best. Although the owner claims it also has a new engine and gearbox. The UAZ-450 was equipped with a 2.4-liter engine with 62 hp and a 3-speed manual transmission.
The UAZ-450 was produced from 1958 to 1965, and a total of 55 thousand vehicles were built. It was the world’s first off-road minibus with all-wheel drive.
