Lowriders in Ukraine are a big rarity – these ‘dancing’ cars can be seen only at various car shows. However, recently, one of these cars was put up for sale in Kharkiv, and at a very attractive price of $11,000 – at the level of a basic Renault Logan.
This Oldsmobile Delta 88 sedan was produced in 1970 and is equipped with a tuned six-liter V8 engine with an Edelbrock carburetor and a 3-speed automatic transmission. It has original paintwork, and the interior is reupholstered in leather.
Of course, the most interesting detail of the Oldsmobile Delta 88 is its suspension. The lowrider was built in 2014 in Kyiv by a specialist from the Californian tuning studio Head Twisters.
The car has a hydropneumatic suspension on all four wheels, so it can both jump and dance. All this is ensured by three hydraulic pumps with a pressure of 120 bar each and a total of eight 100-ampere batteries.
The 13-inch wheel rims are fastened with a central nut.
Overall, as you understand, this is a car for those who are in the know. Although it is not expensive, it requires careful (and obviously not cheap) maintenance.
