by In 2021, the best passenger car of the year in Ukraine was the new Skoda Octavia A8, and the crossover of the year was the Peugeot 2008. This is the result of the “Car of the Year 2021” contest, which has been held in our country for the 20th consecutive year.
Traditionally, the best car of the year in Ukraine was chosen by both a professional and a public jury. In the first case, it was automotive journalists and opinion leaders who rated the cars after a series of test drives. In the second case, 12 million Ukrainians voted for their favorite car by filling out a special questionnaire form.
In 2021, 44 cars competed for the title of the best car. The finalists included such models as Audi A4, Citroen C3, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Porsche Taycan, and Skoda Octavia – the latter ultimately became the winner. The competition in the crossover category was equally tough: Peugeot 2008 faced Audi Q7, Ford Kuga, Skoda Kamiq, and Volvo XC40.
