The Patrol Police in the Kyiv region stopped a record drunk driver. The Drager breathalyzer showed an incredible 5.0 ppm, meaning more than a liter of vodka was consumed.
The sad record was reported on Facebook by the first deputy chief of the Patrol Police Oleksiy Biloshytsky. According to him, the police noticed a Renault driving very strangely. The car was literally swaying from curb to curb.
At first, the patrol thought the driver was unwell. However, when the car was stopped, it was clear that he was actually feeling very good. The person could barely stand and spoke with difficulty.
Interestingly, even after the alcohol test, the driver tried to prove he hadn’t been drinking. By the way, 5 ppm is practically a lethal dose of alcohol.
For reference, the previous record was 4.94 ppm. Of course, a protocol was drawn up according to part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the driver was removed from driving. Now he faces a fine and loss of license.
