by These days (May 9-12) the anniversary 10th OldCarLand is taking place in Kyiv, featuring over a thousand vehicles. One of the stars of the festival was the rare Bentley S2 from 1959. 
In 1959-1962, only 2,308 Bentley S2s were produced. It is the brand’s first model with a V8: a 6.2-liter engine that develops 200 hp and works in tandem with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The maximum speed is 185 km/h.
For its time, the car is well-equipped – it has air conditioning and power windows, and the interior is trimmed with leather and wood. The car was brought from the USA and belonged to a close associate of President John Kennedy. According to the owner, in the 60s, the price of a Bentley S2 in America could buy a house with 7 rooms. 
The Bentley sedan became the highlight of the exhibition dedicated to the brand’s centenary, where you can also see the Bentley Continental R coupe. By the way, there is another Bentley S2 in Ukraine: it previously belonged to Viktor Yanukovych and is now exhibited in the Mezhyhirya car museum.
