by A very rare GAZ-3111 sedan came to the OldCarLand festival, which takes place in Kyiv from September 28 to 30. It is probably the most rare Volga model, as only 424 of these cars were produced. Specifically, this car arrived from Zaporizhzhia.
The Volga 3111 was produced from 1998 to 2004 and was planned as a replacement for the GAZ-3110. However, the car’s design could not be fully refined, and GAZ’s financial problems put an end to the model.
The car attracts attention with its retro design, which features elements of the GAZ-21 and early GAZ-24. There are many chrome details in its exterior.
The GAZ-3111’s equipment was quite rich for a Volga and included central locking, power windows, power steering, fog lights, ABS, and a radio. An air conditioner was offered for an additional cost.
The Volga 3111 sedan is equipped with a familiar 2.5-liter ZMZ-405.20 fuel-injected engine with 155 hp and a 5-speed manual transmission. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 13 seconds, and its maximum speed is 180 km/h. It is also worth noting that the 3111 is the first Volga with a ball joint front suspension.
