A very rare car was captured in Lviv. For the first time in Ukraine, the track sports car Ariel Atom 300 was caught by paparazzi.
Ariel Atom is an ultra-lightweight open-wheel racer with no roof or doors. It has been produced in small series in Britain since 2000.
The Ariel Atom 300 weighs only 515 kg and is equipped with a 2.0-liter supercharged Honda engine producing 300 hp. This is quite enough for the lightweight car to accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a speed of 250 km/h. At the same time, the price of the Ariel Atom is quite moderate — about 40,000 euros.
The car spotted in Lviv has Polish plates. But since they are personalized, it can be assumed that the owner is indeed Polish.
The driver is presumably brave and resilient, as driving several hundred kilometers on this machine is a real feat. He can only be compared to a Briton who came to the Carpathians in a Lamborghini.
