A car that does not require a license was brought to Ukraine

It is about the ultra-compact Citroen Ami – an electric car that can be driven from the age of 16 without a driver’s license. What is also important is that despite the electric power unit and stylish appearance, the small Citroen car can be purchased in Ukraine for 7,000 euros.

According to AUTO-Consulting, the first instance of Citroen Ami was brought for certification. Once the electric car is certified, the company “Stellantis Ukraine” will use it to study the demand for such vehicles in our country.

Formally, the electric car belongs to the L7e class “Heavy quadricycles” (not to be confused with ATVs). This means it is a motorized carriage with an electric motor and car controls. It should be noted that a category “B” license is not required, but a A1, A (mopeds and motorcycles) license is needed, which are issued in Ukraine at the age of 16 (whereas in France, by the way, from 14).

Citroen Ami is smaller than Smart:

  • length — 2410 mm
  • width — 1390 mm
  • height — 1520 mm

The car is powered by an 8 hp electric motor, capable of accelerating the Ami Cargo to 45 km/h. The 5.5 kWh battery provides a range of 75 km. Inside: 2 seats, instead of instruments – a small screen, and instead of acoustics – a docking station for connecting a smartphone.
