by At the Plug-In Ukraine exhibition, taking place these days in Kyiv, a rare for our region Tesla Roadster electric car was demonstrated. This is the very first model in the history of the American brand and it was this car that Elon Musk launched into space. 
Specifically, this Tesla Roadster is one of the early specimens: it was assembled in 2008 and is the 150th of the 2450 electric cars released. As is known, the sports car is based on the Lotus Elise platform. It has a lightweight aluminum frame and a polycarbonate body.
An electric motor with a power of 248 hp allows accelerating to 100 km/h in 4 seconds and reaching 210 km/h (the maximum speed is limited). The 2008 Tesla Roadster is equipped with a 53 kWh lithium-ion battery, and its range is 390 km.
