A DeLorean Sports Car from the Movie Back to the Future was Brought to Ukraine

Until recently, the DeLorean from the movie ‘Back to the Future’ was owned only by Dnipro mayor Borys Filatov. But now, it is not the only time machine in Ukraine. Oleksandr from Chernivtsi has brought the second DMC-12, which can be confidently considered a collector’s car.

As seen in the photos, the DeLorean DMC-12 was imported to Ukraine from Bulgaria. The same photos also show that the legendary movie star (with a mileage of 53,000 miles, by the way) needs some ‘cosmetics.’ As TopGir found out, currently being prepared for the season. The present owner has started disassembling the car to replace all fluids, filters, bushings, wiring, and more. After this, reassembly and debut…

It should be noted that Filatov’s DeLorean is practically impossible to see on the roads, so there is hope that the newly arrived time machine will at least occasionally hit the streets where it can be admired up close.

The story of the DeLorean DMC-12 states that it was manufactured in Northern Ireland for the American automotive company DeLorean Motor Company from 1981 to 1983. About 9,000 cars were produced in total, but not all of them have survived to this day. Engine – 6-cylinder with a volume of 3 liters and a power of 150 hp. Transmission – 5-speed manual or 3-speed automatic.

Perhaps the company would have continued to produce one of the most unusual cars of that time, but in 1982 John DeLorean, the founder of the company, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. Later, John was acquitted in court, but while he was ‘serving his time,’ the DMC plant in Northern Ireland went bankrupt.
