The Most Expensive Maybach in a State of Abandonment Put Up for Sale in Ukraine (Photo)

An unusual listing appeared on one of the Ukrainian platforms: a Maybach 62, the longest and most expensive version of the legendary sedan, which in its time was the pinnacle of German automotive luxury, was put up for sale.

According to the seller, the car, manufactured in 2006, has only 58,000 km on the odometer, and the price tag is $120,000. At first glance, the numbers look attractive, but there is one nuance: judging by the photos, the car is in an abandoned state. The body shows signs of prolonged inactivity, the chrome has tarnished, and the interior has probably not seen care for a long time.

Based on the license plates, it can be assumed that the car is registered in Dnipro. But it seems that this Maybach made its last journey several years ago.

Once, the Maybach 62 was the benchmark for comfort: a body length of over 6.16 meters, a 5.5-liter V12 engine with twin turbocharging, over 550 horsepower, and incredible silence in the cabin even at 200 km/h. In its time, a new car like this cost over $400,000, and only a few could afford such luxury.

Now, what we see before us is a sad symbol of a bygone era. Who knows what fate awaits this Maybach: perhaps it will find a new owner who will restore it to its former grandeur, or perhaps it will remain a memory of the times when the first true ‘luxury limousines’ appeared in Ukraine.
