In Ukraine, an almost new 2008 Subaru Outback with only 7,000 km on the odometer has been found. For its age, this is an exceptional figure: the car has been preserved in a condition close to factory-new, and protective films are still partially present in the interior. Blogger “Roma Urraco” writes about it.

The model does not belong to exotic or collectible ones, but it is precisely such “ordinary” cars with minimal mileage that are becoming increasingly rare nowadays. In the late 2000s, the Subaru Outback was quite popular in Ukraine and was considered a practical station wagon for daily use.
Subaru Outback 2008: Condition and Origin

The car has retained its original appearance with no signs of active use. Japanese assembly, quality materials, and careful storage have allowed the interior and body to be preserved in very good condition. Similar specimens with such low mileage are practically never encountered in Ukraine.
In its time, the Outback was valued for its high ground clearance, all-wheel drive, and good adaptability to poor roads. It was precisely these qualities that made the model widespread on Ukrainian roads in the 2000s.
Subaru Outback with Low Mileage: Model Features

Along with its advantages, the model also had drawbacks. Among them were increased fuel consumption and the not-so-great reputation of the 2.5-liter boxer gasoline engine regarding longevity. Because of this, many such cars have disappeared from the roads over time.
Today, preserved Subaru Outbacks with minimal mileage are essentially becoming a rarity. For fans of the brand and connoisseurs of classic Japanese station wagons, such finds are becoming increasingly valuable, as such cars are gradually transitioning into the category of “time capsules.”
