The flagship hybrid sedan Yangwang U7 from the Chinese conglomerate BYD was photographed in Ukraine. The power of the powertrain exceeds 1300 horsepower, and the model is positioned as a competitor to premium sedans from German brands. The Yangwang U7 is the third model of the premium brand Yangwang after the U8 SUV and the U9 supercar.
Yangwang U7: specifications of the hybrid sedan
The sedan is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 2.0-liter turbo engine and four electric motors. The total power is approximately 1,306 hp, and the maximum torque reaches 1,680 Nm.

BYD Yangwang U7 hybrid: technologies and price
The model uses four permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. Their power is 260, 260, 240, and 240 kW respectively. Together with the 2.0-liter gasoline engine, they form a combined output of over 1,300 hp.
The sedan is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery and a DiSus-Z suspension system. It uses electromagnetic technologies similar to those used in maglev trains and aircraft carrier electromagnetic catapults.
The suspension control system analyzes the road situation using cameras and lidar approximately half a second before the wheels make contact with an unevenness.
The starting price of the Yangwang U7 in China is about $87,150 or approximately 3.4 million UAH. The model is aimed at competing with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, and Audi A8L.
