The Cabinet of Ministers today, October 20, made changes to the Road Traffic Rules. This was reported by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnychuk in Telegram, according to Focus. According to him, the changes to the Traffic Rules of Ukraine are intended to bring them in line with European standards. They relate to transporting children and the use of lighting devices. In particular, the following innovations have been introduced: – The low beam headlights or driving lights must now be turned on during daylight hours outside of settlements throughout the year. Until recently, this requirement was only in effect in the autumn-winter period. The fine for not turning on the low beam is from 425 to 510 hryvnias. – Transporting children on the rear seat of a motorcycle or moped is prohibited. – It is forbidden to transport children up to 150 cm in height in a car without special restraining systems that allow them to fasten their seat belts. Obviously, this refers to child seats or boosters. When transporting a child without them, a fine of 510 to 850 hryvnias is imposed. – The list of road signs indicating special stopping places for vehicles on roads for cars and highways has been clarified.
