At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the list of prohibited inscriptions and images for personalized license plates was expanded.

According to the Cabinet resolution, from April 21, 2023, it is prohibited to apply “symbols of the communist totalitarian regime, the national-socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regime, and the military invasion of the Russian Nazi totalitarian regime in Ukraine” on personalized automotive license plates.

The latter includes, in particular, individual Latin letters “Z” and “V” without a lawful context, as well as symbols and emblems of any subdivisions of the Russian Armed Forces and military formations, as well as official bodies of the terrorist state.

Drivers will now be vigilant, as suspicion of promoting the symbols of the terrorist country will entail fines and more serious consequences. This initiative also aims to prevent vandalism and conflicts on the road, writes TopGir with reference to Auto-Consulting.
